Encouraging designers to speak up in meetings

My manager used to do round tables during our UX leadership meetings.
The etiquette was, everyone had to speak and she would go last.
It gave inexperience leads, like myself, a chance to share our thoughts.
But more importantly, we all felt empowered, we heard everyone’s opinions, and we had to really think through our ideas.
It was so powerful.
Now I do the same in smaller meetings—ask first, speak last.
