For context: A lot of my work is just visual design masked as UX, with no focus on problem-solving or innovation.
It’s extremely hard to change a legacy organisation
Sorry to hear that.
I've also tried to change a legacy organisation but if things aren't top down, it's really really hard. I ended up quitting.
Considering you've already tried what you can, then I would focus on your job search and finding somewhere that:
- You’re excited about going in every day
- Challenges you and helps you grow as a designer
- Great people and culture
- Values design and what it could do for the business
