I keep running into teams using Lean UX or Agile UX. From what I gather, these seem to be frameworks more for developers. I’m not exactly sure where UX fits in or how designers are expected to work within them. Could you share some insights?

What is Lean UX?

Lean UX is a methodology that got popular after the book The Lean Startup.
It follows similar principles to the Build, Measure, Learn cycle from the book, but in Lean UX, it's Think, Make, Check.
The goal is to validate your hypothesis and then iterate based on what you've learned.
I think it's a great framework for solo designers (a team of one) and in startup environments.
Like with most frameworks, it’s important to experiment and figure out what works for your specific situation.
I love frameworks because they give designers a clear way to think through and solve problems, but they definitely need to be adapted to fit the context.
As always, context is king.
