What should you focus on your LinkedIn profile?

1. Headshot

Use this to evoke a specific type of emotion.
Use a clear headshot.

2. Banner image

Use this to achieve an outcome.
The very first thing people see when they hit your LinkedIn profile is your banner image.
You want people to understand exactly what you do by looking at your banner — not confused. Make it obvious.

3. About & Headline section

Use this to clearly state what you do and who you help.
Headline should be something like "I help product builders articulate their vision through design." vs just “UI/UX designer
Use this section to show your deeper expertise. These could be:
  • Your portfolio
  • Videos you’ve made
  • Articles you’ve written
  • Photos of you at a workshop
  • Podcast you’ve done, and more.
