I'm working on a project under an NDA right now, so I can’t showcase it in my portfolio. How should I update my portfolio as someone with over a year of experience?

How to showcase NDA-protected design work

Most clients and employers understand that you need to show your work, so there’s often room to negotiate. Here are some compromises you could suggest:

1. Blur out sensitive info:

Publish the project but blur company logos, names, or any confidential details. It lets you show the design without giving away protected info.

2. Password protect it:

Place the project behind a password-protected page. You can share the password with specific people (like potential clients or employers) but keep it private otherwise.

3. Watermark or hide parts of the design:

If certain elements are sensitive, add a watermark or hide them. This way, you can still share your process without revealing anything confidential.

If not, then I'm afraid you have to show design work outside of work. It could be passionate projects or things you have done with friends or at bootcamps.
