AI in UX Design is here to stay
I’ve been a UX Designer for nearly a decade, and I believe one of the most significant changes in the UX industry has been the integration of AI tools into our design process.
So in the past 90 days, I've tested over 50 AI tools for UX Designers.
Most of them SUCK.
But there are 5 AI tools that have stood out and completely transformed my design experience.

Uizard is an AI design assistant tool that helps you from A-Z with your design process with minimal effort.

Galileo AI: Generating UI from Text Description

Midjourney: Quick Visual Ideas for Design Concepts
Midjourney has been hyped up in the tech industry for quite some time and it’s for a good reason! It is probably one of the best text-to-image AI tools in the market.
With Midjourney, you can generate multiple design options or visual ideas for your design concept in minutes, which can save you hours of work.
The results are phenomenal.
Davis Taylor (@Davistaylorbro) is a master at generating visual designs by Midjourney. If you’re looking for mind-blowing design inspiration, follow him!
However, there are a few limitations of Midjourney you should know:
- The free version only offers up to 10 images.
- It works entirely on Discord so the speed and functions depend on Discord's system.
- If you haven’t had a Discord account, the signup process can be more time-consuming.
Recommended but you should be aware of its limitations: 8/10
Notion AI: Chat GPT on Notion
Notion AI is basically Chat GPT but on Notion.
I've tried both Chat GPT and Notion AI, and the results are pretty similar. But if you already use Notion for your UX design process, installing this tool is way more convenient.
With Notion AI, you can quickly generate design ideas, summarize data, help you format your documentation… and work with your team more effectively by using Notion's collaboration features.
It's incredibly easy to use with suggested prompts.
They are currently offering the free version of Notion AI for Plus Plan → Enterprise Plan workspace owners but they might charge some extra fees for this feature later on.
Highly recommended: 8.5/10
